It is the first Monday in May, which normally would take the place of The Met Gala bringing together celebrities, press and my favorite, the fashion world together to open the new exhibit at The Met Museum, but for the first time in 15 years this is not possible. This year everyone is invited to the Met Gala virtually! WWD put out an article last week that The Costume Institute’s New Show will be done virtually! WWD has also encouraged us to make a lasting impression on the red-carpet looks just like Billy Porter and Lady Gaga would do every season! Vogue Magazine will select the leading looks and will be spotlighted so be sure to tag @voguemagazine@metcostumeinstitute @metmuseum
I have decided that since we cannot leave our homes to attend this fashionable event, the theme would be Quarantine and I will bring the red carpet to my home!
I want to take a minute to thank all of my hardworking sponsors who have been amazing during Covid-19, Wegmans, Trader Joes, Wholefoods, ACME, Food Emporium, CVS, Walgreens, Clorox, Charmin, Windex, Scott, Tide and Bounty! I would like to thank my designer, Bed Bath and Beyond for assisting in my silk sheet gown and pillow cocktail dress paired with my favorite designer, Gucci! Thank you to everyone who could attend my virtual red carpet that is the 2020 Met Gala!
