Welcome to my newest section of the blog, The Trend Report, which is where I will give you all of my How To’s, especially during quarantine! The first how to I want to share with all of you is How to grocery shop during quarantine. I have had so many of my amazing followers looking for that trendy grocery shopping list, so here it is broken down into three categories: The Necessities, Trader Joes + The Extras.
The Necessities
When I say necessities, think about what is priority right now? This would include your produce, proteins, dairy products, grains/bread and canned goods.
Produce
- Lettuce (spinach and romaine are my go to’s)
- Salad Bowls (some grocery stores have pre-made salad bowls)
- Baby Carrots + Hummus
- Cucumbers
- Lemons + Limes
- Berries
- Tangerines (a good way to keep your immune system up)
- Avocados
- Onions
- Peppers
- Bananas
- Apples
- Frozen Vegetables are a good idea as back up!
Proteins (remember you can freeze all of this and use it as needed)
- Chicken
- Ground Beef, Chicken or Turkey
- Tofu
- Vegetable Burgers
- Beef or Turkey Burgers
- Salmon
- Tilapia
- Crab Meat
- Lox
- Steak
- Lunch Meat (salami, turkey, buffalo chicken, ham)
Dairy Products
- Eggs
- Yogurt or drinkable Yogurt (I prefer siggis)
- Feta (great for a salad)
- Deli Cheese
- Shredded Mozzarella (great for a chicken or eggplant parm night)
- Shredded Colby Jack (great for a salad, taco night or an omelet)
- Milk or Almond Milk
- Cottage Cheese
Grains + Bread
- Whole Wheat Bread Loaf
- English Muffins (you can freeze these and use them later)
- Wraps (you can refrigerate these to keep them fresh)
- Couscous
- Quinoa
- Brown Rice
Canned Goods
- Tuna
- Chicken
- Beans
- Tomatoes
- Corn
- Green Beans
Trader Joes Favorites
TJ’s is by far the best place to get frozen packaged food that is super easy to make. My husband and I have a few favorites that I want to share with you to make your next TJ trip an easy one!

I know it is hard not to snack while being stuck on quarantine, but try to only put your money towards the necessities and grab a few easy snack items.

- Wheat Thins or other crackers
- Peanut Butter
- Jelly
- Any Marinades, Salad Dressings, or Condiments
- Chips (I prefer baked lays as a light snack)
- Tortilla Chips with Salsa + Guacamole
- Ice Cream treat
- Cookies
- Shaved Almonds
- Coconut Pieces
- Granola
- Cereal
- Oat Meal
- Grits
