One year ago, today I had the most amazing Breakfast at Tiffany’s Themed Bridal Shower! It is no surprise that I am that woman who planned all of her wedding festivities as a little girl! I remember playing dress up and making the most ridiculous wedding dresses out of all of the pieces in my costume chest until my mom finally bought me my very own little wedding dress.
Before my own wedding I had the rare opportunity to be a flower girl, ring bearer, bridesmaid and maid of honor! I was three years old when I was a flower girl in my first ever wedding for my cousins in Hawaii and ten years old when I was a ring bearer for my cousins in Philadelphia. In 2017 I was maid of honor to one of my best friends, Tamara, and in 2018 right before my wedding I was a bridesmaid for one of my best friends, Alli! I think it is really an honor to be a huge part in someone’s wedding and I am so lucky to be in two more of my best friend’s weddings, Erin and Katie, coming up soon!
That being said, I fell in love with the movie breakfast at Tiffany’s, and for my Bat Mitzvah back in 2005, all I wanted was an excessive amount of Tiffany & Co. jewelry. Without hesitation when my sister, aunt, great aunt and grandmother decided to host my bridal shower June 2, 2018 right before my wedding it was without question that the theme would be Breakfast at Tiffany’s! As much as I wanted my bridal shower brunch to be in NYC for the sake of where I live and the theme, the majority of my family and guest were located outside Philadelphia. As we discussed a location for this early summer date I realized how much I love wineries and that is when we settled with The Galer Estate Vineyard and Winery!
From the invitations to the decorations, activities, the brunch, the dessert, and the dress attire, my aunts, sister and grandmother designed the perfect Samantha & Co. Shower I could have ever dreamed of! Being the over organized, control freak that I am, it is really hard for me to be surprised and just go with the flow, but they truly put together a really special day for me and I couldn’t be more proud of my sister (who is the exact opposite of my excessive girly fashionista vibe) for creating my dream shower!
